Our Lady Immaculate & Saint Cuthbert's Church

The Roman Catholic parish of Our Lady Immaculate & Saint Cuthbert serves the town of Crook and the surrounding area. The parish is part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool. Its home is a beautiful church designed by Pugin and is close to the town centre.

Responsibility for the running of the parish lies with Reverend Gordon Ryan. He is also responsible for running the parishes of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Wolsingham and St. Joseph's, Tow Law.

The intention of this website is to share with you our beautiful church in Crook and let you know what is going on by explaining to you all aspects of our parish life and the community around us. Included in "Our Church" page is a link to a brief history of Our Lady Immaculate & St. Cuthbert's if you would like to read how and when the church was built.
It is intended to be as informative as possible and everyone is encouraged to contact us with any suggestion which may be of help to our community.

We are particularly keen to hear from any former parishioners who are living out of the area and details of how to contact us are contained within the website.

JOURNEY IN FAITH to prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage or just out of interest:

This involves three sessions being held at Our Lady & St. Cuthbert's Church on Tuesdays at 7.00pm on 24th January 2012, 21st February 2012 and 20th March 2012. Another session will be arranged for the specific celebration in due course.
