The Roman Catholic parish of Our Lady Immaculate & Saint Cuthbert
serves the town of Crook and the surrounding area. The parish
is part of the Diocese
of Hexham and Newcastle and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool. Its home is a beautiful church designed by Pugin and is close to the town centre.

Responsibility for the running of the parish lies with Reverend Nick Jennings, who took over as parish priest from 5th December 2021. He is also responsible for running the parishes of St.Thomas of Canterbury, Wolsingham and St. Joseph's, Tow Law.
The intention of this website is to share with you our beautiful Church in Crook and let you know what is going on by explaining to you all aspects of our parish life and the community around us. AN INVITATION FROM POPE FRANCIS TO DISCERN IN THE POST PANDEMIC CHURCH. Please read details of the forthdoming Synod attached. The 'particular way' has been defined by the International Synod of Bishops due to take place in 2023. Here in our Diocese, the process for this began with Bishop Robert celebrating Holy Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Synod depends on an open process with everyone having their right to discern, to listen to the Holy Spirit and to respond. Please find some questions to help you discuss some possible issues with family and friends on the attached questionnaire

GIFT AID SCHEME.
All the parishes under the care of our parish priest operates a gift aid scheme whereby donations made by taxpayers can be enhanced by an amount received from the government. Full details can be obtained for joining the scheme by clicking on the attached document Gift Aid.
